Billy has lived & fished the lower Columbia area his whole life. He was going over the Columbia River Bar at the age of 12 as a deckhand on a charter boat out of Hammond, OR. In 1980 he obtained his U.S. Coast Guard Masters license.

We specialize in sturgeon fishing, salmon fishing, (King Salmon & Coho salmon) steelhead fishing, & crab fishing on the Columbia River, Willamette River, Nehalem River, Tillamook Bay, & Buoy 10 as well as crossing the Columbia River Bar to fish in the Pacific Ocean.
Besides offering fishing tips & fishing reports, we also offer tips on beachcombing & razor clam digging in & around Astoria, Seaside, Warrenton, Cannon Beach, & Hammond.
You’ll fish in comfort from a 26′ sled custom built in town locally by Pic Nic Welding. It’s 10′ wide & has comfortable Bentley seats & is powered by a 225 horsepower Mercury Verado Engine. It seats 6 people however, we can arrange for larger groups with some notice. All bait & equipment are inclusive. We use Lamiglas rods with Shimano & Penn Reels. Just hop on & go!
Sturgeon Fishing
We start fishing for sturgeon from mid May through July. Keeper sturgeon sizing ranges between 45-60 inches. Many days we catch 40- 60 fish. We fish a lot in shallow water which is really a lot of fun.

Spring Salmon Fishing
Springers are without a doubt the best eating fish there is. Sizes range from 15-40 lbs. We start fishing for them mid March. Spring Chinook Salmon fishing on the lower Columbia River runs from March through May depending upon the seasons set by the State of Oregon & Washington. The ocean opens starting around the lst of July. We can fish there through mid August for kings St silvers. Buoy 10 opens August 1st & fishing usually stays good through mid September.
